This yearbook workshop will be intense and fast moving. You will see the latest yearbook and newspaper styles, trends and techniques.
Discussions, presentations, and lectures will be aimed at one goal: to create and plan an outstanding yearbook and newspaper for 2016. Your staff will learn about theme, design, marketing, finance, photography, lnDesign, Photoshop, Online Design 2016, and much more.

Each school will have the opportunity to work with a professional cover design artist as well as theme development and design. There will be individual attention for each school.

Come ready to create your 2016 yearbook.

Lodging and Meals

Registration and over night participants will be housed in O'Connell Hall. Up to 2 persons per room, each room having its own bathroom facilities. Meals for residents and commuters will be served in the Student Center main dining hall. We suggest participants bring their own pillow and other personal items to make their stay more comfortable. Linens may be rented from the University at an extra cost. (see back of Brochure) Meals to be served are from lunch on Tuesday through lunch on Wednesday. Commuters will be provided both lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday dinner is optional for commuters and first day only participants.


Insurance coverage is not provided for additional bodily injuries while a person is in attendance or for travel to and from the


Check in for the workshop will be on Tuesday, June 9th, from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. at O'Connell Hall. Directions will be provided in the registration confirmation packet that will be sent to each registered participant prior to the workshop. Please plan to arrive early enough to get moved into your room before the first session starts at 10:30 a.m. check out of the rooms will be Wednesday morning June 10th, with the workshop concluding no later than 4 p.m.


Registration forms need to be returned by May 10th. With at least a 50% down-payment with balance due at registration June 9th. All attendees paying full balance by May 10th will be entered into drawing for great door prizes.

Yearbook journalism, theme development, body and caption writing plus coverage topics will be experienced by the fortunate staff members choosing these courses.

Newspaper Track

The student newspaper staff members taking these courses will learn a variety of skills to enhance, develop and deliver an excellent student created publication.

Photography Track

Be sure to bring your camera. Experience the exciting and creative world of photography. Develop your skills and enjoy your creativity.

Online Design 2016
